College Students Pursue Up to $100,000 Tuition Offered by Chestnut and Cedar Stock Report's Essay Contest

About the College Tuition Essay Contest

Joe Spinella, author of the Chestnut and Cedar Stock Report's Investment Handbook for Young Adults, is making the ebook edition of his new book available through this college tuition essay contest with the aim of:

* Providing a means to win $500 to $100,000 toward students' college tuition
* Preparing college students to save wisely and invest profitably

College bound high school, college, and university students of all ages are eligible to enter if they have been accepted to or are attending an accredited higher education institution located in the United States and its territories.

College Tuition Prizes

A first prize of $500, or $1,000, $5,000, $10,000, $25,000, $50,000, $75,000, or $100,000, with second and third prizes, will be awarded towards college tuition based on the number of ebooks downloaded. For example, if the publisher, Newmedia Publishing, receives at least 50,000 but less than 75,000 downloads, the following prizes will be awarded:

* 1 (One) First prize of $50,000
* 2 (Two) Second prizes of $ $5,000 each
* 3 (Three) Third prizes of $2,500 each

While the amounts of the college tuition awards are dependent on the number of ebooks downloaded, there will be a first prize of $500, regardless of the number of entries received and e-books downloaded.

Essay Submission

Contestants submit a half-page essay at after reading the ebook. Students choose between writing two types of essays:

1. Perform research on the Internet resulting in the recommendation of a stock, using the principles laid out by the author. A direct quote from the ebook that buttresses the chosen recommendation must be included.

2. Choose a particularly appealing subject in the ebook to write about. A direct quote from the author that buttresses the chosen argument must be included.

Contest Rules

Contest rules will be posted at before and during the contest period.

The entry period is: November 15 - December 31, 2006
The essay submission period is: November 20 - January 15, 2007
The award date is: March 31, 2007

Winners will be notified by e-mail and a list will also be posted online. Contest winners will receive a college tuition check, made out on their behalf to the bursar of their college or university, within 15 days from the award date.
